Subject: Immigration Process n out of Country
I am working in middle east and applied for immigration through London. I expect to receive some letter or interview call. I am on my annual vacation and out of country for a month or more but my mailing address is of my work. It is difficult to get any letter sent by CIC in time bcoz I m out of country. I am constantly checking my online application status.

I would be thankful if anyone tells me how to receive or know about interview call or any letter from CIC while out of country of given mailing address??? Is internview call date appears in online status??? thanx in advance.

One last thing, is obtaining caips totally safe? will not cause any delay in application process?

You could have asked your country´s postal service to forward your mails. If you are asked to appear for interview it usually appears on e-cas but your IA does not.

It is totally safe to order CAIPS.

I sent my application in April 2005. Recently I was asked to submit police certificates and update application, I did last month. I expect to receive some further letter or interview call. Although I have asked my friend to forward me the letters.

Please let me know what does mean "IA" and does interview date appear on e-cas??? if so, then how many days earlier it appears? thanx in advance.

IA means initial assessment. In my post by IA I meant you being asked to go for medicals without interview. Why do you think you will be asked for interview? If your application is well prepared then most likely you will be assessed without an interview. If you are asked to appear for an interview then you usually get plenty of time no need to worry about that, you get a letter and also e-cas is updated (in most cases) months in advance.
