I am being sponsored as a Family Class. My eligibility to becoming a permanent resident is being assessed since April this year. Last May, I received a mail from Immigration, Manila to secure a Police Clearance from Hong Kong where I´ve worked for about 8 months, seven years ago. However, in their request, it indicated that I´m an applicant for Live-In Caregiver. I did not start processing my Hong Kong Police clearance but responded them to correct and re-send their request letter instead. It´s more than a month now has passed when I sent that mail and don´t know the status. The online status says "processing". That was a status when they received my application from Canada. I wonder should I go personally to the embassy in Manila to check the status or just proceed getting the Hong Kong Police Clearance. Pls advise.
Thanks,
WiLO

(in reply to: Appication Status) If you have informed them then they would have changed the required details. Get your police clearance and submit it to the CIC office. While submitting PCC you can again inform them that you did not submit your application as live-in-caregiver and that you have already informed about the same.
