Hi, i have recently submitted for PR under Skilled Category. Just about 2 months now.
However, i would like to travel Canada this winter to meet with my friends. just a small visit. Now, am i eligable to apply for a non immgrant visa when i have applied for immigrant visa already? If so, then what are the extra measures i would be taking to make the visa office beleive that, my visit visa request is genuine.

You are eligible for visit visa but you will have to prove that you will return to your home country at the end of your visit. It is difficult but not impossible. To satisfy the visa officer show ties to your home country which can include stable well paying job, property, close family, etc. Also, you should plan your trip very well and explain the same.

well, u need to have a good reason to travel, some event, also letter of invitation from whom u are visiting in canada,
but visa depends more on which country are u from and what´s the reason to travel, this has o relation to ur pr application

oh no, i am just planning to attend to my best friend´s wedding. I am planning to stay there may be for a week. Not more than that.
I meant, now that i have applied, it would be much harder to make them believe that i am a genuine applicant. So, hoping to get some suggestions from the well wishers here who might know what might help.
