Subject: PR continuity and Citizenship
My Wife and Kids moved to Canada on May 2004 and stayed here till FEB 2007. Except for a 1 month vaccation, they were here all time. Meaning which, they completed more than 960 days of Stay in Canada. When my mother in law was here on a visit during last winter she fall sick and my family also had to travel back to India on Feb 2007. She is now planning to take a short visit to canada in -order to keep the PR status. Is it required that my kids also need to travel with her, to keep the permanent residence status intact and do not want loose the 960 days, when they apply for the citizenship with me next year MAR 2007.

I believe the kids must qualify for citizenship as well.
