Subject: Bank Draft?? |

Hi Guys,
I am in the process of applying for a police certificate from Dubai and i am told to mail them a bank draft. Now, I live in the US and i am having a hard time explaining to banks in the US as to what a bank draft is. Is the bank draft the same as cashier´s check?
If not how do I get a bank draft in US$ here in the US?
Please throw some light!
Thanks

3 Choices (in reply to: Bank Draft??) A bank draft and a cashier´s check are the SAME thing. You could also buy a International Money Order from the US Postal Service ( make sure to tell the counter person that is to be cashed OUTSIDE of the USA ) or you could buy a International money order, in US dollars, from Western Union, and have it sent electronically to a specified W.U. location in Dubai, for pick up by the Police service there.
The fastest is the W.U. system.

Help (in reply to: Bank Draft??) Two issues:
1. I was living in Canada but I have moved overseas and I need to update my address. Should I provide a Canadian mailing address or could I just provide my current residential address as mailing address (Japan)?
2. I received the medical forms but there is a mistake in the marital status. I have already scheduled an appointment and I wonder if I should proceed or await a new form? The deadline stipulated in the form is approaching...
Thank you for your help.
