Subject: Letter of reference on company letterhead |
Is it necessary that letter of reference from previous employer is on company letterhead? Im applying to New Delhi. Or is a plain piece of paper attached with business card sufficient?

(in reply to: Letter of reference on company letterhead) Ask yourself if a letter on a plain paper looks authentic.

Regarding letterhead (in reply to: Letter of reference on company letterhead)
A lot of companies in the US will not allow recommendation letters to be printed on official letterhead because of liability issues. Just explain in a letter why you cant get the official letterhead if there is a reason and that should be enough.

Letter (in reply to: Letter of reference on company letterhead) Make sure you have official letter on company letterhead. If from Indian the letters should be on color printed letterhead not computer generated.
If the letter is comming form a small company, make sure you get them notorised.
My application was rejected because of letterhead printed directly from the computer and they were not notorised.

(in reply to: Letter of reference on company letterhead) Thanks for the replies. A clarification. Basically, i already have the appointment letters, relieving letters, and experience/ service certificate on company letterhead. I will be sending notarized copies of these in my application.
However, for getting the letter of reference/ recommendation, my manager is not authorized to give it on company letterhead. Should I just mention this and send it on plain notarized letter attached with business card?
Thanks
