It is difficult to answer that question without more details.

If they feel that they need to investigate "something" then there must be something fishy in your application. That is why they called your for interview.

But as you said if you know that everything you did or said is true, and you have no crimes, no medical issues and so on .... it should be fine!

This is the details of my interview like you asked CBV333

I am a Nigerian and now in Austria as a refugee, during the interview the immigration officer asked me how I came to Austria either by air, ship or land, I told him how I came to Austria,He doubted me when I told him how I came to Austria. Pls I don?t know if it?s right or the duty of the immigration officer to ask for such. I have a legal stay here in Austria as an assylum seeker. moreso, He asked me about my relationship with my wife, how I got to know her, her family and many questions just to mention but few.

OK, first of all if you are seeking immigration to a country the immigration officer has the right to ask you any question regarding your legal status or things like how you arrived or any matter of concern. They need to be convinced that you are saying the truth and you are not fraud.

They usually ask questions when they have doubt about such or such situation, like checking if a marriage is guenine or not. If the officer has some doubt about HOW you came to Austria, there must be some reason. And if you did not convince them so yes they have to investigate. That is normal procedure.

You just have to wait and see what happens. If you are legal in Austria then it is OK, everything should be fine. They just need to make sure. That´s all, be patient.

it?s not that I am asking if they have right to ask about how I came to Austria, I know they do. Thanks but it?s just that I need to stay with my wife soon.
