Subject: Interview but cant make it- should i withdraw!!??

Hi everyone,

Ill start by saying I am in a tricky situation and need advice urgently.

I applied for immigration-skilled category in 2000 in Buffalo, NY.
Later i got my file transfered to New Delhi when i moved to India.
I married a German girl and we have moved to Germany for the last 1.5 yrs.
Last December i requested a file transfer to Berlin and sent all updated information including my marriage details etc.
I have now received a letter that i should attend an interview in Delhi with my wife in one month which is not possible on Account of both our new Jobs and financial constraints.

I am considering withdrawing my application rather than having it refused. Maybe i could reapply from Berlin at a later date.

1. Is that a sensible decision? Or should i chance being evaluated and risk being rejected? From what i have read, failure to appear for an interview would lead to rejection.

2. Also is it possible to reapply from Berlin later or does having applied once before hinder a second application.

3. How do i go about withdrawing my application?

Any advice and answers regarding the above questions will be deeply appreciated.

Thanking you all

Sheldon

1. Write a letter to the embassy explaining your situation. Order CAIPS to see why you have been asked to appear for interview and send the relevant documentation with the letter. Your interview may be waived (unlikely), if not, atleast you will have a stronger case in the event of you not attending the interview.

2. Your previous applications (refusals/withdrawals) do not affect your new application unless there was some misrepresentation of facts. Make sure that whatever you submitted with the first application is in sync with the new one.

3. To withdraw your application write a letter to the relevant visa office stating the same.

You can withdraw your application, looks like you are around this process for a long time now

to withdraw you have to wrirte a letter to new delhi cic saying that i am not interested any more putting your file no & details

U can also request them to transfer to file to Berlin or request attend interview in Berlin, this may take time but if succesful , u have nothing to loose

it´s all upto you - Immigration is a choice not a compulsion
