Subject: immigration application
hi. i applied as independent immigrant 3 years ago here in canada. after 2 years i was scheduled for interview in detroit but unfortunately i was not granted US visa due to the fact that i have overstayed. now my file was forwarded to my country and currently being processed. recently my consultant received a letter from immigration asking me to update all my documents. granting that i have overstayed here, do you still see any chances on my case? what is the best thing for me to do?

If no legal proceedings were initiated against you in US then overstay in US should not affect your application in most cases.
