Subject: to say good bye all of my hopes?
I did a number of steps to find a decent job.
And I´ve got some courses to get the "survival" job (for example as a receptionist). I already worked for bakery, as a cleaning lady, as a telemarketing clerk...
Actually I am chemical engeneer (inorganic). As concerned of my soft skills I am fast learning and outgoing person.
I am ready to begin over and over. Perhaps somebody else knows how to do the first step (to become lab technisian for example)

Medical field or ??? (in reply to: to say good bye all of my hopes?)
Hi Helen.

Have you thought about a career as a medical office assistant, or specialist´s assistant? For example, I know that Certified Opthalmic Assitants are in demand (my wife is a COA). Yes, you would need to complete some form of training (probably about 6 months, given your background)before being able to apply for employment (starting at ~ $32,000 per year). Not a king´s ransom, but with further courses and experience, you would likely be making about $45,000 within five or six years (the work is enjoyable, and the environments are typically low stress).

Also, what about starting your own business? That´s what I did, and it´s great! Be your own boss, set your own hours,... Almost every Canadian city needs a good moving company(there´s always a need for a decent moving company in any city - just check with the BBB to learn how many complaints moving companies receive in any given year).

Have you ever thought of completing a trade? Here, in Calgary (and on Vancouver Island), there are loads of companies looking for junior apprentices within the construction industry - generally $10-15/hour, depending on skill level (i.e. whether the person has completed a year of their apprenticeship). But there is also demand for cooks, welders, and gas fitters (and always will be for those who are good at what they do).

Conversely, consider pursuing something that you´ve always dreamed off - it´s usually the best avenue to reaching personal success. Do you paint???

I know this posting may not immediately help you, but you seemed to be lost, and so I thought it may give you some perspective. Best of luck, and don´t give up.

Sincerely,
Dennis Caul
