Subject: Transcripts notarized in US & not from Indian Univ
  Folks,

This query is related to applicants from India, particularly those who have done their undergrad from Bangalore University

I have been out of India for almost 10 years. I tried to get my undergrad (B.E.) transcripts sealed and notarized, through a friend in Bangalore. But, we are facing infinite problems from the university. The bureaucracy is just stifling and I feel really guilty asking people to take time off from their busy schedules running around halls of the university.

I have been told that I could get these transcripts notarized in the US. I am thinking of getting them notarized in my financial institution in the US. I haven´t, though, found any definitive solutions to this quandary.

I´d really appreciate any inputs/suggestions/recommendations from folks who got their PR accepted by submitting notarized transcripts (not from their respective universities) and a letter of explanations.

This forum has been very useful for me and I´m awaiting the myriad responses from the good folks who come to this forum.

Regds,

Sriraj

You can even submit photocopies of the marksheets (transcripts are marksheets in India right?) thats what some of my Indian friends did along with a detailed letter explaining your situation. Though, notarized or certified true copies are better. And yes some of them have received PRs and some have reached the medical stage.

Hello Anon,

I am getting my Bangalore Univ transcripts notarized here in the US and also, the letter of explanation (notarized)as to why I am unable to send them the originals in a "university sealed" envelope.

Thanks for letting me know that some of your buddies have chosen the step that I intend to take and that they have been successful in this endevaor. That is very heartening, indeed.
