Subject: Immigracion Agents....
Immigration Agents are like bureaucrats of 3rd world countries. I´ve receives 3 different answers to the same question. Is this what you call first world??
I think we seriously need to do something with this. It is not possible that Immigration Minister is making process faster for lap dancers and we all are like a bunch dummies having different answers from that cruel people.

My Buddy. Do not be frustrated. Immigration is just a bussiness for Canada and you, me and hundreds of thousands of poor people are running this bussiness. Have you ever thought how much they earn every year through this bussiness? Just remember each applicant has paid them $550 as application fee.

it costs more than $550 to process your application. Canada can think of much better ways to make money than collecting immigration fees. As for the rest, nobody is forcing you to come here.

ANonymous:

How much more than $550 does it cost to process an application? Doe you have the specific amount? In fact, the revenue CIC receives from applications is mmore than 550. It is approx. $1400, once the landing fee is included...

However, I agree with you: Nobody is forced to apply. If we applied is becaouse we believed that those $1400 are less than the benefits we will get from living in Canada.

In my case, the benefits of being with my family are priceless... therefore, CIC is capitalizing on my need and I have no doubt CIC is making a profit, because I doubt their cost of processing my application is more than $1400.

I would think immigration officers make $30 per hour. they sit in a building that costs money for rent, heat and light. They use paper and supplies. They send for RCMP background checks (how long do you think that takes at $30 per hour.) They send letters to you, update your eclient when they feel like it. In some cases they travel to conduct interviews. Think about it - it costs you $50 per hour to have someone look at your car engine. A lawyer charges $250 per hour plus the cost of paper clips. Do the math.
