Subject: Center of Canadian Language Benchmarks |
Does any one know what CCLB Organization is used for? I came thru couple of places in the CIC Language Assessment mentioning CCLB, but I could not figure out what it has to do with assessing the language ability. CCLB site is:

It is a testing institute for language ability (in reply to: Center of Canadian Language Benchmarks) It is a place that tests your ability to speak, read and write in either English or French, to grade your lingusitic ability.

CCLB (in reply to: Center of Canadian Language Benchmarks) It´s the Centre *for* Canadian Language Benchmarks (note the Canadian spelling of Centre). It does not test your English or French, but it does develop tests that others use.
Basically, it´s a organization dedicated to encouraging the use of the Canadian Language Benchmarks whenever people want to talk about levels of proficiency in English or French -- and what they mean. There are 12 levels and various tests to measure what level you´re at.
