Subject: driver's License (urgent)
I´ve been living in canada for a while now, i have my driver´s license that i get when i just came here, the problem is that i came just for visiting so my status was visitor, then i applied for an extension visa but they denied it and ask me to leave the country ASAP but because of familiar problems i stayed and never applied for anything else, so in resume i have no status here, do u think if i use my driver´s license and a police catch me they can see in their computers my status so they will send me home.
so please can someone help me with this...

Why dont you leave canada and go back to your home country? They will catch you anytime and will not be allowed ever again. People like you are burden on the canadian system. Go home and apply legally.

Last poster´s rudeness is unnecessary.

If your visa extension was denied, you can´t expect to get any legal document from Canada. Rather than violating Canadian immigration laws by hurting your own record, reputation, and chances for getting a valid visa in the future, you´re much better off applying for legal status through official channels.

If you´re overstaying because of fear of returning to your home country for whatever reason, that´s another matter.

Police computer links to Immigration warrants (in reply to: driver's License (urgent))
The CPIC ( Canadian Police Information Centre ) computer system links all Police departments to the Canada Immigration warrants computer system. So if rhis person is stopped by police in Canada, his Immigration warrant will be shown on the computer check. He will be arrested by police and turned over to Immigration for deportation out of Canada.

Thank you Richard and Jim B. for the info, i really needed to know that, and for the anonymous guy i just wanted to let him or her know that, i´m not a burden for the goverment, because i´m not here like a refugee or any other status, the ones that come to this country just to live from walfare, the ones that come here to work with a different name and take money from the goverment with their own SIN saying they need unemployment. Those are the people that make the canadian system worse, and then it becomes worse for honest people like me to become legal.
So don´t tell me a burden ´cause we do the job no canadian wants to do.
