| Subject: fbi report request |
Hi All,
Its been 7 weeks since i sent my FBI report request(virginia). I called them up this morning and they said my request still does not appear in computer. What does this mean. Any idea when ill be getting my FBI report request?

Mine took 3 months to come. That is the recommended time FBI states. You can also call their cutomer service number to check the status on your request.

it shouldn´t take more than 2 months if everything is ok, because I called them too, and they told me that it takes 8 weeks, and it was exactly that long when I got the report back.

Did you send by registered mail? If so, then you would know the exact date they received it. They should have you in computer. When my husband called them, they told him the date they received and that it taked about 8 weeks to complete. If you have tracking number, call them again, ask them did they receive it and if not, send it again with explanation letter that was mail before.

I requested mine in mid-september and it took 10weeks to receive. I was getting worried and impatient so I emailed them and kindly asked what the status was. An FBI agent wrote back and said mine was nearly completed and would be sent out in 2 days. By the time I got it back it was just over 10 weeks by a day or two...
Its a pain to wait just hang in there. I´ll tell you this now, all they are going to do is stamp the back of it with a ´No Criminal Record´. Man, when I opened mine I expected it to be encrusted in gold with all the bells in whistles but instead its nothing more than a stamp on the back, silly me..
It´ll come soon enough, just don´t keep calling down to the FBI, ´cause they might get irritated. Anyhow... Good Luck!!!
