i had applied on oct 2003, in port of spain, trinidad, submitted my medicals in may 2004, well havent heard from them at all, well i called the embassy in august and they said they r waiting for bacground chek..and they have recd medicals,i am confused how much long i need to wait, well when i applied they had said processing time is 12-18mths as i come under family class...i happened to see the website and it scared the hell out of me to see people had to redo ther medicals and had to still wait for 2 yrs.. thanks fella´s...

Sorry to say but at present all you can do is wait till background check is complete. The time taken to complete your background check depends on the countries you have lived in since you turned 18 and a various other factors.
