Subject: landing on visit visa to be immigrant
  Respected Members
To be fair enough, I got a visit visa to Canada and I am planning to be there soon and will never come back here, I have strong reasons to do so. The reason varies between Discrimination, Humiliation and or threat of life.
ITS TRUE STORY
My question is that:

Shall I and my family apply for refugee status upon the arrival to the port of entry in Canada?
Or
To apply within Canada
Which is better to apply for refugee or humanitarian and compassionate status
Please don?t tell me not to come because I have already decided

Legal advice will be appreciated

There are no lawyers here so if you are wanting legal advice you will need to search elsewhere.

I believe you must do it at the airport. Keep in mind the ´safe country´ rule - that means your flight must be direct from your home country.

A word of advice which you don´t really want to hear - your plan is not as easy as it sounds and is far from a guarantee. If it would be that easy, why would people wait 4-5 years for skilled worker applications?

You may be sent back, (in reply to: landing on visit visa to be immigrant)
David: a few facts for you to consider.

There are ONLY 8 countries, at this moment, that are on the list for "Refugee " applications in Canada.

If you arrive in Canada from a "safe third country" like the UK or France or Mexico, you will be sent back there, to apply there for refugee status, in that country.

To me , you sound like an "economic refugee " which is someone who isn´t fleeing a war torn home land. You are simply trying to get to a better lifestyle.

So you want to take advantage of Canada, by coming here as "Visitors" and then claiming you AND you family are refugees ? So WE are suppossed to take all of you in and support the whole family, while your "refugee " claim works it´s way thru our court system?

And you have the nerve to ask how to screw this country, here on this forum? What balls that takes.

What country do you call home ? I bet that you won´t say which place it is.

Jim Bunting. Toronto.

you see David, it is not as easy as you think. Just because you ´decide´ to do something does not mean you are entitled to do it.

If Jim sounds a little angry, it is because he is.

Me too. The only reason you did not get blasted from me was that I thought it might be better for you to find out on your own how this really works.

I understand your views and points even thu you sound too idealistic. Canadian government have been opening the gates of the Cnd forest to all kind of lions, and later everyone has complained of bites and mauling.

Do you want me to provide a big list of those illegal fraudulent immigrants and their resident addresses? To say the least, do you want me to provide proof that CIC and RCMP were informed? and that nothing was done

Sutar, keep talking and you will convince all us Canadians to vote for a government that promises to stick you all on a plane and send you home so fast your head would spin.

when you start showing a little respect for the country you want to adopt you, maybe you may get treated in a similar fashion.

Sound like an "economic refugee "? tell me how is the sound of the hero?s Financially, I am stable and got good job and own business. I helped the Canadian and your neighbors tr??. To make their life safe and pleasant in this part of the world which is a jungle of guns and ??and ??and but not "safe third country" (my help was appreciated and documented and supported by certificates and prizes)

You are not more Canadian than anyone of us. If I have to join (you suggested) DEPARTURE plane, you will be the first attendant. Did you read my post carefully? I am 110% against the illegal and the fraudulent immigrants. I simply pay tax to maintain their (unnecessary) long legal processes. We have reported so many of them, but the authorities are as diff as you are.

Do we need to have such judgementalism here? Those of us comfortably established as Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents may not fully understand david´s issues or background based in his short initial query.

And how Canadian is it to blast people for merely asking questions here? I´m appalled at some of the smugness here from Canadians about Canada. I thought that was more of an American trait.

He´s addressing us respectfully, so let´s see if we can in turn politely hear david out and rationally provide him with any guidance.

Read his own words. (in reply to: landing on visit visa to be immigrant)
Richard:

Read his OWN words. He says he wants to claim "refugee status" but in the next post he says he has a "good job and owns his own business ", so which is the truth??

I call BS on this guy.

This guy David wants to abuse Canada´s refugee system which was set up to help genuine refugees who are desperate for help due to war, discrimination, political victimisation etc. This guy and his lkes will make it difficult for genune visitors to get visas soon. He did not say which country he is from and he looks well established in that country. David, you will defnitely lose your refugee claim, so just visit Canada and return home.
