Subject: Sponsoring wife
I have been granted Permanent Residence 3 months ago and I want to sponsor my wife who is in Trinidad. But I have also returned to Trindad. After she gets through with her Permanent Residence, we will both return and live in Canada, she is 5 months pregnant. We got married a few days before I landed in Canada. Can I sponsor her although I am not living in Canada? What about the Option C Prntout that I have to submit, I never worked in Canada, so how will I get this ? Please advise.

STOP EVERYTHING

YOUR IN BIG TROUBLE BECAUSE YOUR MARITAL STATUS CHANGED PRIOR TO YOUR LANDING. IF YOUR DEPENDENTS DO NOT DO MEDICALS IT MAKES YOU INADMISSABLE TO CANADA OR 117 (9) (d)

Get married again,..........

not only that, a PR cannot sponsor a spouse if they are living outside of Canada.

Like Roy suggests, stop everything and read the CIC rules before you do one thing more.

Thanks, I am in big trouble. You see my parents were granted PR last year under the Entrepreneur class and I married my girl friend a few days before landing secretly without my parents knowledge, I am 20 years old. At the airport in Toronto, my parents did all the paper work. I am too foolish and love made me blind, I was not thinking about laws, I am still depending on my parents.
