| Subject: Skilled worker application in progress |
I have a skilled worker application currently "in progress" for the past 8 months.
My concern is, what I should do as my work permit visa is expiring by the end of October 2007. Would I need to return to my home country? Please help. Thank you.

You can file for Change of conditions document and extend the work permit for 1 year in Canada if your current employer is ready to do so...
Your skilled worker application will continue processing as is and no conflicts will happen...
If not, you will have to return to home country and file a change of address to the consulate processing your skilled worker application..

Hi Sylvie,
I am not so sure but if you have applied the immigration from Canada, I guess you can stay there uptill the file is processed. Please check the cic website for details.
