Hi,
Would appreciate all learned members to share their thoughts on what steps can make the skilled immigration process faster. I am in the process of applying for Canada Immigration some time next month. What are the key points to consider before sending the application to CIC.
Here is what I have prepared
1) I don´t want to use any immigration consultant
2) I have taken IELTS (results awaited)
3) I am from India, currently I am In US on L1 visa. I have applied for Police certificates both FBI and to Indian Consulate in New York . Hopefully by next month I will have both the police certificates.
4) All my educational and work experience certificates are ready.
5) My Spouse certificates are also ready.
6) Have sufficient bank balance in US bank and Indian bank to pass the settlement funds required criteria
7) CIC forms will be filled before submitting the application
a) Application for permanent residence in Canada (IMM0008)
b) Background/ declaration Schedule 1 form by me and my spouse
c) Economic classes skilled workers Schedule 3 form by me
d) Additional family information ---- IMM 5406
Please let me know if I am missing something.
Regards
Rajeev

(in reply to: How to go full speed) The key issue in your case would be to find arranged employment. If you could secure a job in Canada it may expedite your case, although Buffalo is pretty consistent at processing applications on time.

(in reply to: How to go full speed) I think you are good to apply , all required documents are attached , they might ask you to give PCC again because it expires in 6 months.
Normally process take 18 to 20 months , For me it took 21 months
