| Subject: Does a couple of RP is considered together ? |

Hi
The problem is as follows :
My husband and I have a RP status and I am ok with the time spended in Canada, and my status is conform to the request time of 2 years.
The problem is that my husband got a few days less and in this condition, could not ask for renewing his own RP card and won´t be able to leave Canada by public transportation until he gets the canadian passeport, that means 3 years of 5 as required.
I would like to know if I could apply to renew my own Permanent Resident Card (to be able to go out of the country and come back with no problemes), and get it without been linked to my husband situation that is for now problematic ?

Sorry to ask again my question and I would like to mention for precisions that the first request and the Permanent Resident Card was given to us together and as a couple. Does it influe on the decision or every case is considered as an own case, without linking it to another case ?
Thank you for answering to this question as we are really anxious to know what to do.
