Subject: Need advise (desprerate) |
A few yrs ago my ex was given primary physical custody, shared joint. He has kept them hidden from me with no contact. I´m desperate, I am a Canadian Citizen, going to court soon but want to know Canadas law about taking children to Canada.
Any help would be appreciated

children (in reply to: Need advise (desprerate)) Children are welcome in Canada.
What do you mean exactly?

(in reply to: Need advise (desprerate)) there are many questions that need answers before we can be much help to you. Of course Canada welcomes children but this is a much bigger problem. You already are in the courts trying to find a solution and I hope it goes well. I presume the children are with their father living outside of Canada? There will be many questions that I am sure you already know. Citizenship of the father, children, where you were married, divorced, custody rules in the country where your husband is living... a very difficult situation. Be strong, and believe that Canada and its laws will be there to support you any way it can.
