Subject: Laid off due to season end, change of employer? |

Hi..
I have asked a question earlier in regards to change of employers while in Canada.
And found out that new employer have to go through the same process as a new work permit application even though I have a work permit for 2 years.
Now, my "current" employer has laid me off due to the fact that he hasnt got enough work to keep me on anymore. And I have been here for close to 6 months. He told me this today, and now I dont know what to do..
I have a new company who wants me right away, but its said to be 6-8 weeks of waiting time still..
I just moved into a 2 bedroom apartment and bought all furniture new.. don´t know what to do here..
Sucks to be on a work permit thats for sure..
Any advice?

(in reply to: Laid off due to season end, change of employer?) New employer will have to seek out a LMO and then you click on applications and forms InLand and then work. With your new LMO you submit to Vegreville.
