Hi,
I am planning to do my landing formalities for my PR. I am planning to come back to USA within a week. I might be in USA for 6-12 months before i go back to canada for good. Can i apply for Medical Insurance in toronto? i heard it takes 3 months to get it. Also i read somewhere that there is 60 days resident policy ? Can i atleast apply for Medical Insurance now and when i come back to canada after an year i will activate it .. will it work?

You can´t do that...You need Canadian address proof to apply for Medical insurance in Canada.
It will take 3 months to activate.
If you leave the province for more than 60 days after it is activated, then they deactivate the Medical insurance.
You have to apply afresh once you land in Canada, and then it will take 3 months once again for activation.
