Subject: FBI finger print in Toronto?
Hi guys. I´d really appreciate if any one can help me here. I´ve lived in US for years before and currently reside in Toronto. How do I get my fingerprints done in the fastest possible way so that I can sent them to FBI? Which place should I go in Toronto. I heard people saying that local police stations do that. But I just called one station close to where I live and apparently they know nothing about that. Any particular "good" place that everyone applying for permanent residence in Toronto area goes? Thanks in advance!

I am in the same boat. I am a US resident, applying for permanent residency, from within Canada (and I happen to live in Toronto). When we contacted the police station they referred us to the Commissionaires: Fingerprinting and Identification Services. Toronto Office, 15 Toronto St. Suite 302, Toronto, m5C2E3. Their website is www.fingerprintingservice.com

Make sure to take 2 forms of ID with you when you go. They don´t accept appointments, it is a first come, first serve. I recommend going in early, as the lines tend to get long in the afternoon (we had to wait a couple of hours). Remember that you will need a police certificate from the FBI as well as every state you lived in. The cost I believe is $35 for the initial prints, and $5 for additional ones, but you may want to double check that. We made a mistake when I got mine done and only got one set, for the FBI and ended up having to go back so that I could get police certificates from the states I had lived in (luckily it was only one state but it cost us the full fee again.

Best of luck,

Vickie

Why are you so worried ?

You can download finger prints form from the FBI website and do the finger prints yourself. I did it, it worked wonderful and it is FREE. All you have to do is buy ink.

I don´t know what you are talking about PCC for every state. I lived in 3 different states in USA and I submitted one PCC from FBI and CIC was happy with that. They did not request me any more documents.

Now I am done with medicals and wait for PPR.

It sounds to me that you are making things more complicated than they are.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

if you can do what CBV did without the FBI noticing the signature and address of official taking the fingerprints well and good. Otherwise, inquire your nearest UPS stores, they might have a service for FBI fingerprinting. That´s what we did.

Hey guys,

Check this website

http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/fprequest.htm

It says that IF POSSIBLE you can get your fingerprints by an official... means you don´t have to!!

Anonymous the way you sounded is as if I had try to cheat the FBI ... I had not. I followed instructions only!

I had a similar problem. I got my fingerprints done from a company in Toronto and my fingerprints got rejected by the FBI. My friend referred me to a forensic company Worldwide Forensic Services Inc. in Scarborough (fingerscan.ca).This company charged only $39.00 plus HST and took my fingerprints in an excellent way and they got accepted by the FBI.

Try them out!!
