Subject: Landing & PR
I have seen many people who do their landing in Canada from USA then go back to USA for packing and finishing stuff and go and settle in Canada for good a few months later.

It is likely we will do the same but I am worried about something. People give a friend´s address and get their PR CARD sent back to USA right ?

#1 what if you don´t have someone to send you your PR card ? What can you do then ?

#2 then if you have that friend, what happens if your PR get lost in the post ? CAN YOU RETURN TO CANADA AFTER LANDING WITHOUT A PR CARD ?

#3 also if you don´t have sufficient funds at the time of landing, can you tell officers you are still working in USA and will have sufficient funds by the time you return and you are landing just to find a place to live ? IS THAT OK ?

We need to know these things before we plan our move. Thanks for suggestions and responses

Day u land in Canada as PR , u will a be documented as resident

1, Take required money with you, don´t take risk

2. Yes, u can land & come back to US, if u do not have PR card, u will need a returning resident visa

3. Find some one who can take & repsonsibly post your PR card to you , I have friend, He can do it for you if u want for $ 125, (express courier fees included)

4, you can delay your landing until u are ready to move permanently, look at what is the last date of ur visa

Thanks for your response.

Suggestion #4 seems maybe the best for us in fact. We don´t want to take risk. We still have time.

Thanks for your response.

Wonder what others have to say
