Hi
We are permanent residents in Canada and we would like to have my mother-in-low (from India) to come for a visit (just a few months).
Before she had applied for US visitor visa when we were in US and she got rejected (she is not too good in answering interview questions).
I want to know if this fact can affect her application for visitor visa in Canada, I know it is a different country and all that but I just wonder if there are chances of being rejected from Canadian embassy too ? Is it easier or harder to get a visitor visa from India ? Also she has no intention of settling down here, it is just a visit. She can´t speak English either.
Thanks for response.

(in reply to: Visitor visa for parents) CANADA DOES NOT REQUIRE A PERSONAL INTERVIEW FOR VISITOR VISAS. AND IF THEY DO THEY WILL PROVIDE YOU AN INTERPRETER. YOU NEED TO MASKE THE DOCUMENTS PROPERLY AND SHE WILL GET THE VISA. ITS NOT ABOUT HER ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS, ITS ABOUT YOU MAKING THE FLAWLESS DOCUMENTS. LIKE INVITATION LETTER, AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT, YOUR INCOME PAY STUBS AND ALL THOSE THINGS. GOOD LUCK

(in reply to: Visitor visa for parents) In documents , She must show her tie-ups in India in the form of property´s valuation in her name, good bank fixed balances and tax returns,if any so as to prove that she has no intention to settle down there as it is a bit harder to get a visitor visa from India. But you must try with proper documentation as it may be easy for persons above age 60.Good Luck.
