Subject: twisted sponsorship case
Hi, so my story is that i went to canada in 2001 and applied as a refugee claimant. I got refused, and i got married in 2005, in Canada. By that time i think i was under removal order, because i did not report my address, i did not want to leave canada at that time. My wife is a canadian citizen, from the caribbean. After we got married we decided to move there, so i we did not applied for my canadian residence. I left Canada six months ago, but we considering, to move back. We have been maried for two years now, living together, so the genuinity should not be a problem. My worry is that i did not report when i left Canada and i guess my name in the system is still under removal order, or something like that. So one part of my question is that can we erase this removal order somehow, or is it a problem? The second thing is i am from Eastern Europe, but now i stay in St Maarten, the Caribbean. Do I have to go to Europe or we can apply from here, too. Well, that is it now. Can anybody give me some advice? Thank you.

First...

What kind of removal order did you get?
Volunteer departure order, an exclusion order or you were under a deportation order?

Sounds "DEPORTATION ORDER". This is because he stayed longer after the refugee claim refusal. This may make life harder for him.
