Hi,
I have recently been admitted to Malaspina University,for MBA coming- Fall 2005. I would like to know about the following.
1. I´m working in Indonesia and I wanted to apply for the student visa in India as all my savings and papers are in India. Moreover as I´m in a remote place here I cannot apply from here also. I´m planning to go on leave in June-2005 for a period of three weeks and I would like to know if this period is sufficient for obtaining a visa.
2. The various papers and formalities required for application of Visa.

student visa processing time is different case to case. If you get student VISA, you have to go through medicals and that takes atleast one month. After that you are called to get the Visa stamped. Usualy u recieve phone call. If you go in person then it is stamped same day otherwise by mail you add another one month or so.
sometimes, even if your medicals done okay, they do not give you a call and then you have to keep calling Chandigarh office. Someday you are lucky to find them, they tell you additional documents required. Like reciept of one year fees payment in advance. Then toy have to arrange this over night. Many cases the ask to pay fees in advance.
If you ask me I will say, your is good case and involves less risk.
