Hi i desparately needed suggestions or help...my friend´s study permit is rejected while applying for renewal. She is doing her UG in engineering, she did a dual degree and completed her degree in Math and now she applied to renew her study permit. But they said she went past the deadline... I dont understand is there a deadline to apply for studypermits??????

I got my study permit less than a week ago. Here is what the border official told me:
You must renew your study permit before it expires. Since it can take some time to process, the deadline is one month before it expires. Just in case, renew it 2 months before it expires - never hurts to have that extra time.
I think your friend needed to send her passport and whatever else documents they needed (letter from university, proof of funding, etc). Study permit should have telephone numbers of three offices in Canada
Here is from my study permit:
If you wish to extend your stay in Canada as a temporary resident (visitor, student or worker), you must complete an application form. To ensure that you receive your new document before the old one expires, you should return your application AT LEAST 30 DAYS BEFORE the expiry date of your status. To obtain an application kit or should you require clarification or additional information, you may telephone the call centre at one of the following numbers:
Vancouver - (604) 666-1171
Toronto - (416) 973-4444
Montreal - (514) 496-1010
Anywhere else in Canada (toll-free) - 1-888-242-2100
The text I wrote in capital letters, is in bold capital letters on the study permit.

Hi , I am a international student in canada . all international student studying a program more than 6 months need study permit to study in canada .. study permit must be renewed before its expiry date ,, one month before expiry date is not the requirement . even if your study permit expired and you have a 90 days time limit to extend the permit ..
when you apply for STUDY PERMIT EXTENSION , YOU NEED 4 DOCUMENTS
1) VALID PASSPORT FOR THE DURATION OF COURSE , IF YOUR PASSPORT EXPIRE BEFORE YOUR COURSE YOU MUST RENEW YOUR PASSPORT .
2)LETTER FROM COLLEGE OR TRANSCRIPT TO PROVE THAT YOU ARE FULL TIME STUDENT
3)PASSPORT AND AND PRESENT STUDY PERMIT
4) PROOF OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT ( ATLEAST $4000 IN ACCOUNT WITH 4 MONTHS TRANSACTIONS .
SO YOU MUST TAKE YOUR BANK STATMENT OF 4 MONTHS WITH YOUR NAME ,, PHOTO

Hi
My name is Satnam chahal
I am in dawson creek as an international student
My study permit will expire in aug 2018
But unfortunately i failed my last sem and now i have official drop from my college
I will start my studies in september and i have gap of 4 months after april thats why i have fear wthether i get extension in study permit ot if i gett than is there any problem in work permit
