Subject: sponsoring spouse outside of Canada - visit
Hi, i applied for sponsorship of my spouse who resides outside of canada, i recently received a letter with our case number.

Now i am wondering whether it will be possible that he would come to visit me in canada, during the time that our application is being processed. And whether he would encounter any problem when entering Canada?

Hi Julie,
He can come and visit you while your application is being processed, as long as he has the required travel document and visa.

WILLY, WILLY, WILLY come on!

The question is not if he would be allowed entry it is "WOULD HE ENCOUNTER ANY PROBLEM WHEN ENTERING CANADA" because he has already applied for permanent residency.

A visitor is someone coming for a temporary period of time, this guy would be coming to live with his wife permanently.

So at the POE he would be asked "your purpose for visiting Canada today is"?

Here is some sample answers;

I´m not here to visit I´m here to stay with my wife.

I´m moving to Canada to be with my wife.

I have been sponsored and I do not wish to wait for the process to be completed.

THEN WHEN THEY CHECK HIS LUGGAGE HE HAS ALL THE WEDDING GIFTS IN HIS LUGGAGE INCLUDING THEIR NEW POTS AND PANS.

The issue people-------a Canadian visitor visa (CVV) issued at a CHC or CDN Embassy is just that a document. That document will cover the airlines responsibility when they let that person holding a CVV on their plane. It does not guarantee entry to Canada. Entry into Canada is always decided at the POE Port of Entry.

I have seen to many lovers being sent back because he/she said at the port of entry I´m coming to get married to my partner and then we will apply in Canada for Permanet Residency. Can you give me a work permit now, please?

Visitors are those that are suppose to come for a short time then leave.

o.k.. that answer got me a little confused!
What about if when he enters Canada he explains that he is here to visit his fiancee, just for 3 weeks, while the application is being processed, and after that, he would need to go back in order to complete the process or to submit his passport
and in his luggage there would be nothing resembling what u described.. Should that be a problem?
Because he is only here for a visit until we get farther news from the visa office

It is not that a partner can not visit their partner during a spousal sponsorship.

It is the reason given when they arrive. Being an authorized representative I can not tell anyone to lie.

Lets say your husband likes to go fishing. He gets invited by someone he knows that you may know to go fishing. Depending on whether or not he requires a CVV it is what he says and how he convinces the POE officer he intends to leave. The reason he has to leave but do not lie that he has a fiancee when they will know he is married.

It depends on his initial answers how much digging they will do.

Roy

If you can convince the officer
