What the CIC officers look at is the bond between the partners and yes partners not a woman and a man. It can be a woman and a woman or a man and a man and yes me and others help same sex marriages because it is right to keep two loving people together!
In Cuba the spouse licks the icing of the cake off the spouses face. In Trinidad they serve the spouse a piece of Cake on a fork some countries they shove the cake into the partners face. This proves nothing or no more then a kiss after they each say I will or I do.
Wedding photos of the spouse wearing RED in China or the Nose ring of a Bride in India proves little. Two people in the throws of passion will definitely get you a refusal letter.
When two people deeply care about one another it should rise to the obvious but not always so! It is your obligation to prove your realtionship is true.
People use phone cards and think that a huge pile of phone cards will prove that the two have been communicating but think, it proves you have a huge pile of phone cards but not that one person has been calling the other. You will need to see phone numebrs on the phone bills that include the duration of each and every call.
Certain cultures do not show feeling very well when being photographed. Certain ethnic cultures show too much passion and their photos look phony.
Most people send no snail mail anymore, too bad. Snail mail whether it is a silly card that says, MISS YOU, WANT YOU, NEED TO BE BESIDE YOU, LOVE YOU, etc. etc. as long as the other has the envelope to prove how frequently they were mailed is an excellent way to prove the bond of communication. Letters that include intimate details can also be used just black out the extremely personal and intimate comments and print personal beside it but include the rest. No CIC visa Post officers wants to read how he said ________ or you said I liked _______. Remember we are all different and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Completing the forms by yourself can sink you but they are not complicated to complete and CIC will clearly say you need no representative to assist you, TRUE and FALSE. Always no matter what read what you and others have created on the forms and intend to submit five times before submitting. Everyone makes mistakes!
It is better to pay a quality representative to assist you because they are impartial but check references then to risk a few dollars of expense.
For overseas applications always try to include letters from persons that the two of you have met and include their status documents if they are legal in Canada. DO NOT EMBELLISH by adding people that the two of you have NOT met to make your application look better. If no relatives traveled to your country with your partner to witness the marriage say so and explain why. He is the black sheep of the family; none of them make sufficient money or have the vacation time to travel etc. ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH!
The most important NON-NUMBERED question is on the sponsor or sponsored spouse questionnaire and it reads;
ON A SEPARATE SHEET OF PAPER, PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL DETAILS OF YOUR CURRENT RELATIONSHIP THAT YOU BELIEVE WILL HELP TO PROVE THAT YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS GENUINE AND CONTINUING.
Show photos of one leaning into the other the same way with different clothes on, show photos of the two of you relaxing, show photos with the two of you with family and friend relaxing, show photos that others have taken when the two of you are in a crowd looking towards each other lovingly.
Don´t claim that 600 people attended the wedding unless the photos submitted support that statement.
COMMON SENSE FOLKS, PROVES A REAL MARRIAGE. Unfortunately certain individuals think that the grass on the other side of the fence is better and will lie so that affects your application. You are really married to each other, prove it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
