  Dear Sir/Madam,

We (including my wife and a son of 8 years) are the landed immigrants of Canada from September 01, 2006. We came back to Austria from Toronto due to study purpose before getting PR card and after coming back we were informed that all of us need to retake photos for PR card. But then it was not possible to going back to Toronto for foto retake session. In July this year we received the final notice to attend/provide the foto retake session/fotos within two weeks from the date of letter that has already been expired. The last line of the letter was: "If you fail to attend, your application will be abandoned and you will have to submit another application."

Due to unavoidable situation we are now in Bangladesh. I am not clear about the above sentence. Have I to reapply for PR card or permanent residency? Another question in this regard, when have we to go back to Canada, within August 2009? I tried to find out the solution by searching your website, but could not be able to solve. We need travel documents to go back to Canada, how much we have to pay for this?

My wife, also an immigrant, is probably pregnant. Her expected delivery date might be May/June 2008. Please inform me the official procedure how could we take our expected baby with us. Does it need to inform the embassy (Bangladesh office) about the pregnancy of my wife? I also tried to solve this question from your website, but could not be able to solve this. So I want your help and humbly request you to inform me about aforementioned queries. Thank you very much for your kind cooperation.

With best regards,

Basu

I am as confused as you have been. I am not sure if they are referring to ONLY your PR cards or to the whole PR status. My gut feeling is with the latter (I pray I am being wrong). I guess, this is because you neglected obtaining your PR card for a complete 12 month by now. In this case, while I do feel sorry for you, CIC might have taken your attitude as "lack of interest in Immigrating to Canada". If I am correct then you have to apply again as fresh new hopeful immigrants.

You should sort this srious matter first, before you go to the next which is the pregnancy and baby. Are you entitled to H&C giving your study period commitment, I am not sure either.

Hope someone would come forward with good news for you

Good luck
