I got an email from a forum buddy saying you guys are talking about me!

Yes, I stop by every once in a while to see what is new. Be sure, if I was posting anything I would sign my name. Give me some more time to ´care a little less´ and you might see my name every once in a while.

on a personal note... we will hear Monday if the Canadian embassy will issue my fiance a visitors visa. It is a long shot but we must try. If we are successful, my guy will be flying for 2 days to get here in time for Christmas dinner. Now that would be the best present in the world.

Welcome back Sharon, I really enjoyed all your posts here. Beside that you provided useful information but you write so well that is really a pleasure to read them.

Dude as I had said - politics and power are very hard to give up!! The gal was itching to be back...

Again... she brings in the personal stuff in the whole forum ment for facts... That is what I and several of us are against. If she is so very curious to share her personal story why does she not email them to her "selective group". Who in the world is interested in her personal saga. As is.. we all have our problems..

Anyway; more power to her - if she gets the visa for her dude.. finally it will be the end of an ordeal...

dear Dude...there is not much on this forum that is not personal. 90% of questions are specific to the poster. No where in the rules does it say facts only. You have CIC for that and they are always right. Don´t panic, I am not back,(nor will I be any time soon) Contrary to popular belief -helping someone is not about power and politics (both are generally boring). It is about civility and humanity. You obviously know little about either.

Sharon, Good Luck. (in reply to: Thank you Anonymous)

I have never personally received a reply to my question from you on the forum, as I have posted only one question so far and I got a reply for it. But I have seen you contributing to the Forum in important ways. And I have also seen some people misusing the medium. I have see you getting frustrated and leaving the Forum. Now, I break my silence to say this, I wish you and your Fiancee all the very best for your plans and I hope that both of you will have dinner together this Christmas.

Finally, by leaving the Forum, even temporarily, you will be helping those who misuse the Forum to succeed in their uncivilized manner. Think about it, Merry Christmas and have a wonderful year ahead...

just a quick update... Immigration has declined our application for a visitors visa. reason - we have applied for regular immigration and therefore there is too much risk of my fiance staying in Canada! We are back to waiting

Sharon,

I´m so sad to hear that you won´t be able to see your fiance for the holidays! I can only imagine how difficult it would be to be separated from the one you love.

Will you be able to visit him anytime soon?
Please keep us updated and come back to the forum when you feel ready!
