While - it is OK to do your own paperwork - some of us may want to hire agents. Let us share our recommendations + how much they usually charge to help us not get stuck as Disha in the last forum.

I will suggest a good attorney with immigration law and recognized by canadian immig office. By the way does 5000 includes all the fees of canadian govt ? If it doesnt then its gross. I went thru Abrams & Krochak they are good. I trust them. I paid them 1600 US.

business class is quite complicated. are we comparing fees for skilled worker and business class? very different animals.

If you read english or french well, you should be able to complete your own application. 99% of it is about adequately answering questions and providing exactly what CIC requests. If you can prepare an essay for university, you can complete your own application and save money. CIC insists that using a consultant does not give you preferential treatment. All a consultant really does is become CIC before you actually get there to make sure you have everything you need.

At the same time, I would suggest a business class application needs legal assistance.
