My field is in Civil Engineering, if you looking around the ongoing construction works in Canada, it shoould be a profession of demand?

Frankly I don´t know in details about the IT field. Heard that it is little better. Though observing job searching experience of many immigrants IT professionals, have very much the same feeling. I know some US trained IT guys in Toronto/Montreal who are manufacturing computers in a famous company named "Celestica" and consider themselves very lucky..

IT guys have even 1 advantage over us; they don´t require to be licensed by any professional soceity like Civil Engineers. Funny thing is, some guys who can always mention endless lame excuses about the poor job situation try to forget this. Not all professionals need license. I never can understand what´s so wrong in acknowledging the simple fact; competition is too much, thanks to the crazy point system immigration.

In short, in Canada, no matter your degree (even Canadian), if you don´t have any stamp of Canadian experience in your resume then it is just trying your luck unless don´t have any influencial personal link. How can you get that? Most straight forward way is to from student intern. Which is only open to the BS students, not for the Masters student. This was the root cause of my failure in Canada.
