Hi,
Can I apply for PR while I am a graduate student in Canada on a student permit?
I know that if you apply for PR in the US while you are on a student visa you get in trouble because you have lied to the embassy official when you obtained your F1 student visa, and your green card application gets denied. Is it the same case in Canada?
I want to start a graduate school program in January and I plan to apply for PR after I enter canada on a student permit, because I won´t be able to get a student permit if I have already applied for PR. But is it legal to apply for PR while you are in Canada on student permit? If it is ok I would apply to vienna and my case should get processed within a year

I was a student in USA and the VERY REASON why I moved to Canada is because I can apply for a PR while being a student.
You will be restricted by the visa you have. On a student visa, you can only work on capmus (unless you get a work permit in addition to that). you will have to remain a full-time student to maintain your status.
As a Graduate student, you will likely be a TA (Teaching Assistant) and, therefore, will have money for tuition and living expenses. At least if you are a Graduate Student in science.
So, as long as you are qualified for PR, you will be able to apply. it will not cancel your status as long as you do not violate immigration law (such as off-campus work without a work permit, overstaying your visa, etc.)

And can I leave/enter Canada with the student visa if my PR is being processed?
Also, do you know of some good sources for scholarships/loans for study in Canada.

You should get a multiple entry visa, but as a graduate student you won´t have much time traveling around.
As a graduate student, you are likely to be financially supported by the university.
What is your discipline? Chemistry, physics, biology, humanities?
As for scholarships, I would suggest lookingat university websites.

my visa is 2 yeras and after my visa i would like to apply canadian PR.I live in with my wife.
I am doing my education very well and aditionaly i involve with extra education.
