Subject: prostatitis medical |
Hi
I was recently told that I have prostatitis (but quite mild symptoms). Would this affect my medical acceptance. Feeling worried.
Thanks for replies

Prostatitis (in reply to: prostatitis medical) Hello
I am glad your condition is receding.
There is no internal examination although you will be asked if you have the medical condition. If the prostatitis is caused as a bacterial event, there could be detection through urine analysis.
So, do not expect a rectal examination.
I do not think that this condition would be a prohibitive one.
The DMP is looking for STDs, HIV, TB or other diseases that would hamper or endanger Canadian citizens. Prostatitis is a rather common condition for those men over 50 years.
I would not be worried.

(in reply to: prostatitis medical) I had a bone tumor and it showed in my blood work. However, I passed the medical. The tumor had been completely removed since and blood is now normal, although Canadians never asked for a second blood work. I worried myself sick over this, but I guess they didn´t care much about it.
