hi,
i´m about to get my fingerprints taken, and i thought i only needed one set, to send the FBI. however, i was told that i need to send one set to the FBI, and then one set to every state i´ve lived in since i was 16. is there any written material on this on the CIC website? thanks in advance guys!

As far as I know and as far as I did for CIC, you only need one set of fingerprints from the FBI. I really wonder where this "from every state" comes from.
Whether I am right or wrong, the CIC rules talk about each country (no mention of state) where you lived for more than 6 months since the age of 18 and we sent only ONE SET of FBI fingerprints and we were approved! They never asked for more.

(in reply to: How many sets of fingerprints for the US?) CBV333, thank you. the person who told me this was an independent fingerprinting agency in toronto, and told me i´d need a police certificate from two states i´ve lived in, thus two more sets of prints. i have a feeling they just wanted to charge for more prints.
but thank you for your response!
