Hello all. I wanted to know if i will have to pay 15% tax when i buy a car in vancouver. Would it be only 6% if i was buying in calgary. My second question is that do we have to pay some amount of money when we have to visit a doctor or is it completely free (having a PR status). Thankyou for your help in advance.

(in reply to: Buying a car.) You don´t mention what your status is in Canada. Are you a permanent resident or what? If PR then yes, you have to pay about 15% in taxes in all provinces except Alberta, where I understand there are no provincial taxes. Google Alberta Province´s website to find out more.
Each province has their own health insurance program and rules. As above, why not use the internet yourself to find out? I think we´re frustrated in that you don´t take the initiative yourself to find these answers on the internet.
