I received letter for submitting passport for immigration visa stamp for PR. How long is the visa generally valid, stamped by Canadian consulate (buffalo)? is it 3 months, 6 months or 1 year? or does it depend on the last date when your medicals expire? My medicals expire in Nov´07, and if I send passport for stamping in Oct, will I get only one month visa? Isn´t that too little time to move to Canada??

You must land in Canada within one year of medicals. The visa is valid for similar period.
If your medicals expire in Nov. 07, and you received PPR in Jan 07, you have 11 months; if PPR received in July, you have 4 months.

I recived PPR in july, but couldn´t send passport. Sending now in Sept. Assuming they returned stamped passport in mid Oct and my medical expiring in Nov, I will have just one month or less to land? Can I ask them to give me additonal time? can they extend visa? When should I request for extension -now when submitting passport or after they have stamped?

Good day:
I sent my passport back to the embassy of Canada and it has been 28 days since they received it. Do you know how long it usually takes them to send the passport back? I was told in their letter that it should be 1 to 2 weeks I am worried. Please give me some insight. I am just waiting for my passport to buy my ticket.
