Subject: Can I inform CIC about missed info in schedule1 ?
  Hi all,

please help me. I am so worried.
I have just sent my medicals and as I was just going through the copy of the old forms, I came to notice that I had not ticked in the box where they ask whether I have been refused visa to any other country.

I had been refused a US work permit once, and I did not mention it.

what should I do now?

Send the updated form with a nice cover letter explaining your situation and you should be fine.

Thank you Sir,

1. but would they not ask me why I am so late.
2. can they cancel my application on this ground?
3. can they delay my application since I have already submitted my medicals
4. should I send only the required page or should I send the
entire modified[please not ´modified´ not updated]
schedule1 form.

has anyone gone through my situation?

You have class.

At least you did not blame your Consultant or Lawyer for the MISREPRESENTATION.

1. Write a nice letter explaining your situation.
2. What you have done is misrepresentation. It can lead to application refusal and even ban from applying to Canada for 2 years or if you are in Canada removal from Canada. However, being honest is the only thing you can do now. My feeling is that you will not have much trouble though.
3. Delay can only happen if they get suspicious about rest of your application which again may or may not happen.
4. Send a new form.

I think Roy would be able to advice you better as he is an immigration consultant.

Roy, lawyers and immigration consultants are blamed way too much by people. I wonder why nobody blames the entire medical community or the academic community when those people err.

Write them and explain that your interpretation of a work permit was not a visa in your mind.

Work Permit and visa are two different things. You should be OK. Getting a work permit denied is not the same as having a visa denied.

thank you all,

I have found and checked my old refusal letter and it says that i was refused on the ground of ´not providing enough information in support of my claims´ ,it also says that´ I am not required to leave the country[US] as a result of that decision and can stay until my present visa expires´

thank you all.
