I wonder if someone can help me i´m a British citizen and I have been offered a job interview in Canada for a company there now my question is I have a partner now we are not married but have lived together for 2 years now and been in a relationship for 7 years I informed my company that i had a partner unmarried and they said they will still give me an interview but have not explained to me that if i get on weather my partner can come with me and will he eligable to work and will he be given a work permit as well, someone has said to me that canada recognises common law partnerships.

yes, Canada recognizes Common Law partnerships.
