Subject: Conjugal -will baby help? |

Hi,
I recently put in an application as the conjugal partner of my Canadian girlfriend. Our application included plenty of emails, some photos, etc. At the time I thought it would be enough to prove we were in a relationship, but after reading this and other message boards its clear that there is not enough evidence of a "marrige like" relationship, ie. no joint bank account, no impediment to marrige (other than cost), etc.
On that basis it looks like we will fail, however, we are pregnant. I noted this in the application hoping it would help a lot. Does anyone have any experiance on if this will help?
Cheers.

(in reply to: Conjugal -will baby help?) I am applying as her conjugal partners. We have been together for two years, but have not lived together for 12 consecutive months, so don´t qualify for common law.

Do you want ? (in reply to: Conjugal -will baby help?) It is really your decision, but do you really want to have a baby just so your conjual partner can come and stay in Canada? There must be other ways. Having a baby is a big responsibility, are you ready to have kids or just want to have one so your woman can come to Canada? Are you able to support yourself, your woman and a baby? I believe that we all want the best for our kids and they need to come to this world because two people want to have a kid not just because they need one to get immigration papers.
Reading other forums I´ve seen that people that got married and got a baby, that still did not speed up their process. So just think this one through very good! Good luck.

(in reply to: Conjugal -will baby help?) I wish people would read the first post before replying. Then it would be obvious that we are already having a baby, not contemplating having one for immigration purposes. I was wondering if this is considered pretty good evidence of the genuineness and seriousness of our relationship for my permanent residence visa application under the conjugal partner class. Also, I´m the applicant, my girlfrien is the Canadian citizen.
