Hello
I got married my Canadian wife mor than two Yrs ago but at that time I had another marriage from my first wife, I could not divorce my first wife although we are separated because the procedure required to make divorce valid takes longer.
I succeded to divorce my first wife legally two years ago.
now we are living together more than two years, My wife is going to apply as a spouse, Is she quailfied as sponsor because I had my first marriage at the time of getting marry her?
Should we apply as spouse because we have marriage certificate or as a common-law partner?
Is she required to meet financial requirements or not because we are married legally?
Thank You
Gen
Note :By the way, In my country it is legal to have more than one wife at the same time

You Should apply as a spouse (in reply to: Should I apply as a spouse or common_law partner?) Apply as a spouse because you have a marriage certificate. I see no problem there.
Good luck.

Spouse (in reply to: Should I apply as a spouse or common_law partner?) You should apply as a spouse and not as a common law paertner, as soon as you have a marriage licence that is not broken - you are married.

Cannot apply as spouse (in reply to: Should I apply as a spouse or common_law partner?) You do not have a legal marriage. You can do one of two things: Apply as common-law partners if you have lived together for at least 1 year, or, get legally married and submit your application as spouses.
It is easier to get approval for spouses than common-law/conjugal partners. However, it sounds as if you may be able to adequately document your relationship. I would be prepared to defend/discuss why you married her before you were legally able to do so. It seems a bit suspicious.
