| Subject: Landing and H1 stamping |
I got my pp back from buffalo and need to go to canada for pr landing. I have expired F1 and need H1 stamp while I am in Canada to be able to get back into US. can any body share his/her experience. any problem??

If you have a valid job and H1 app you are fine - else go with a view that you may have to stay in Canada for sometime to come.

My take is that you will be detained at the border by the US INS lawenforcement and perhaps deported. You may be wrong to assume you can go there with expired visa and get away without doing time.

I work and stay legally in the US. I am not out of status. I have H1B approval. I just don´t have the stamp.
