Hi All
CIC sent a letter after initial assessment asking me to submit current statement of funds readily available to transfer along with RPRF. They are asking me again cos initially i showed only USD 4000 in my account and property valuation documents.
My question is, should the statement be a certified letter from the bank or an online bank statment for the last 3 months would do.
if anybody could kindly advise on this...i didnt get clear responses earlier...
regards
Sivanand

(in reply to: Hi All
CIC sent a letter after initial ass...) You are lucky that they did not reject your application as property is not a liquid asset. You should show the required amount in the form of a letter from your bank. In your case, you should also add transactions record or online statements for last 3 months showing that no major deposit has been made. And if a major deposit has been made then explain how and from where it came.

(in reply to: Hi All

Just want to say that I showed my online bank statement among other things.
Perhaps in your case they will be more strict, Samm is correct.
In fact I believe that ANYTHING that shows MONEY EASILY TRANSFERABLE is acceptable. It is always good to send certified letter if you can (especially if you have applied from India).

Thanks...CBV333 (in reply to: Hi All
CIC sent a letter after initial ass...) Hi CBV333
I applied from US...the thing is it was only a year when i applied...and have my savings account in INGDirect which unlike other banks have no offices around.
They take some 10 days to send me the letter...and next week i have to go to india.
So i was wondering if online statement would work...
anyway thank you..i´ll wait for the letter..
regards
Siva

(in reply to: Hi All
CIC sent a letter after initial ass...) I have a question: why 3-month bank statement? I got the same IA letter but they did not mention explicitly that they need a 3 month statement. Would a 1 month bank statement good enough?
Thanks,
