Hello People! I landed the day before yesterday. The journey was terrifying as our plane shook like an ATV on a tarless road!

When it dropped a few feet, we thought we were gonna crash in the Atlantic. But by the grace of God, we landed safely in the Pearson Airport.

The immigration process was smooth and did not last more than about 100 seconds with the officer. The wait was long though since there were many people.

There were no surprises and the officer was nice to us.

Good Luck to those waiting for this to happen.

Hey Almost
congratulations on your "dream"
I am saying a "dream" because the dream is 3 days only, then Canada is nothing :) same as everywhere else

While I was there I thought oh my GOD I am landing (student) I wanna see Toronto... In few minutes I was disappointed, I as most of the peoples here that didn´t visit Canada, they think that CA think that Canada is Paradise :))), money grow on the tree, jobs everywhere, :))))

2 reasons that I will immigrate there
1.English Speaking Country
2.Canadian Culture
(Do you know the difference between Canada and Europe)

In Canada when they say YES it is YES, or NO it is NO
In EU they say YES, it could be NO, it could me maybe....

THIS IS A REASON THAT I WILL IMMIGRATE THERE, no one cares about what are you doing, you have your own life

Working in CANADA is not easy, especially for newcomers, my host father in CANADA said to me, hey Speedoflight if you wanna learn English you have to understand our culture first

THATS VERY CORRECT

Anyway it was my opinion
Have fun and find good people there

Thanks everyone!

Speed... you really assumed things about me with speed!!
Having lived in the US with an Italian family for five years, I think I understand the Western Culture. I will never say that US culture and Canadian culture are same but there will be similarities though.

I had a very well paying job in Kuwait. I left it as I wanted to be close to my family. My parents and a large part of my family is in Michigan (as a matter of fact in Detroit as well). If I dont go to US they can come to me!

Money is not everything in life. We work like machines and die someday. Whats important is how people remember us after we died.

Anyways, thanks for your comments and CBV, I will try to post my experiences. One advise to you CBV, be proud of who you are and never forget your roots. In your posts, I noticed that you are a little reluctant to reveal your country. I know where you are from.

Good luck guys! May God speed your process.

Wishing you the best for your new life. I am always happy when I hear someone has landed.

By the way I am not sure if you guessed where I am from. Even when people meet me they cannot guess where I am from. But yes you are right I am reluctant because I am afraid of the internet but once I have my PR I will tell.

My guess is you must be Indian, am I right ? :)

thanks for advice, I think nobody should forget their roots ever and our own culture should be transmitted to future generations.

Hi Almost Perfect

Nice to hear you had a good landing experience. I also plan to land soon. Are you staying at a guesthouse? If so, can you please share your experience.

Pls also advise whether you were asked for proof of funds, goods to follow list, etc?

Thanks & regards

CBV, I am an Indian and proud of my counry. Now that I adopted another country, I will also love my new country as well... even if I dont get the success I expect.

Well, since you are reluctant, I dont want to say where you are from but be sure that I know your country...hehe ;)

Richard,Thanks and good luck to you too.

Zain, we were asked questions from our application form... like the category in which we applied, our occupations, and how much money we brought. Thats all!!

Good luck all.
