Subject: Application fee & Bank Statement
  Hi,
Does any one know the total application fee to be paid to at the time of submitting the immigration application form under "Skilled Worker Class"?
Is it just "Principal applicant" fee ($550)?
Or is it both "Right of Permanent Residence" Fee and "Principal applicant" fee ($490 + $550) that brings the total to $1040?

I believe the total amount to be shown in your bank statement is approx. $10k ... But I donot have that kind of money avaiable right now. Is is okay if I just show them my current bank statement w/ only $3k in it?

Thanks a lot,
Omar

No need of a bank statement at the time of submitting the application.

Submit 550 $ now and dont worry about 490 $ until Consulate comes back asking you for that.

Bank statement is also not required and the consulate asks for proof of funds if deemed necessary.

According to the checklist in Buffalo for SW application, you need to include proof of funds at the time of submitting the application.

And you must show the minimum amount or else they either may refuse your application or if they are nice they will ask you again later.

I did it and they did not ask me again at the IA.

If you have a good amount in the bank and your IA is done in an year or so, you may not be asked to show bank statement again.

You should include bank statement with the application as during your assessment they have to make sure that you meet the funds requirement.

RPRF you can pay once you get IA or you can pay now if you have extra money.
