| Subject: Getting Singapore Police Certificate for Canada PR |

I stayed in Singapore for 6 months and applying for Canada PR from US, Buffalo and need to attach a Police Certificate from Singapore Authorities.
However, Singapore Authorities does not issue a certificate without any document proof requesting for Police Certificate. I contacted Singapore Embassy and this is what they say
"The documentary proof has to establish that you have applied to the Canadian Authorities for your PR status, a print out of the application form is insufficient"
I think, we cannot apply for a Canada PR without police certificates.
Has anyone faced the same problem earlier ? I am applying under Federal Skilled Worker category from Buffalo,NY US office.
Thanks in advance for valuable suggestions.

apply first then ask for the police cert.

When Canadian Authorities will return back my application -- will it be mentioned that need to obtain Singapore Police Certificate ??
Any other expert advice as this will waste time in to-fro communication

You can submit your application with a note that police clearance from Singapore will be obtained once you get your file number. Attach the letter that you have received from Singapore or print the page from Singapore police website. Most probably they will not return the application in this case.

MY HUSBAND WORKED IN SINGAPORE IN 2001-2002 AND WE APLLIED FOR PCC IN 2004 FROM INDIA .WE HAD SEND THEM FINGERPRINTS AND THEY ISSUED A PCC WITHIN A MONTH
